Boswellia serrata
Boswellia serrata, the perfect plant
to complete the action of turmeric
Boswellia serrata is a tree native to the Middle East and Africa. Its orange-brown resin has been used in India, China and North Africa for thousands of years for its health benefits.
It is in the resin of Boswellia serrata that we can find the substances that help to maintain the flexibility of the joints. These substances are called “boswellic acids” and there are 12 different type.
SCIENTIFICALLY STUDIED PLANT
Boswellia serrata is the second most scientifically studied plant after turmeric in the articular sphere.
The importance of its use as well as its safety have been studied: the Boswellia serrata is safe to use and can be taken with confidence. However, its use is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
ALL BOSWELLIA DOES NOT WORTH…
There are several species of Boswellia: Boswellia Serrata, Boswellia carterii, Boswellia frereana, …
The joint benefits of Boswellia can only be attributed to the Serrata species.
Incense is for example made from the Boswellia sacra resin.
