I cannot swallow Flexofytol® capsules, can I pierce them and/ or dilute their contents in water?
It is inadvisable to pierce the Flexofytol capsules as their contents can cause cast-off (stubborn) stains.
If you cannot swallow the capsules with large amounts of water, you can opt for Flexofytol PLUS.
This new reference contains highly assimilable turmeric, Boswellia serrata and vitamin D, and comes in tablet form.
It is possible to cut the tablets in 2 or 3 using a tablet cutter available in pharmacies, to crush it or chew it.
Flexofytol PLUS® contains 72 mg of curcumin, does it mean that it is more dosed than Flexofytol® which contains only 42 mg of curcumin ?
No because it is the amount of assimilable curcumin (= bioavailable) that matters.
The bioavailability is equal for the 2 forms, which means that in terms of curcumin take a Flexofytol® capsule is equivalent to taking a tablet of Flexofytol PLUS®.
Should I stop taking vitamin D if I take Flexofytol PLUS that contains vitamin D ?
The majority of patients are significantly deficient in vitamin D.
There is therefore no contraindication to take a vitamin D supplement at the same time as Flexofytol® PLUS. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
The Flexofytol PLUS® tablets are too big, what should I do?
To make it easier to take Flexofytol PLUS, we recommend that you cut, crush or dissolve the tablets in a little water to make it easier to take.
You may also want to use Flexofytol capsules instead.
These do not contain Boswellia serrata or vitamin D but they do contain the same amount of absorbable turmeric.
Flexofytol capsules are also available in all Belgian and Luxembourg pharmacies.
